Research Interests:

Multiferroics & Ferroelectrics


We are focusing on several issues of multiferroics and ferroelectrics:
(1) multiferroic/ferroelectric nanostructures & heterostructures ---- synthesis and characterizations;
(2) domain structures and domain wall dynamics;
(3) novel phenomena associated with domain walls;
(4) ferroelectric metals;
(5) first-principles calculations, phase-field methods, and Monte-Carlo simulations.

铁电体物理是本研究组的保留研究领域,虽然江山黛尽与柳暗花明是人生之常理、也是物理的常形,但是学问之道无穷无尽。铁电体中电偶极矩的组合激发很大程度上还是一个唯象的图形。当铁电体微观机制作为关联电子体系的孤独者而穷困潦倒的时候,第一性原理计算打开了“财富”的大门,使得铁电体物理有起死回生之感。铁电尺寸效应的研究给了铁电体物理一针强心针,而多铁性行为的研究似乎给了铁电体物理一个合同制的铁饭碗。
